The Global Fund- Advancing Client-centered Care and Expanding Sustainable Services for TB

Brief Description

The project is primarily implemented through the Philippine National Tuberculosis Program. Anchored on National TB Control Program Strategies (Philippine Elimination Plan (PhilsTEP) 2021-2023 the grant aims to: • Achieve screening of at least 162 million people for TB either through symptom screening or chest x-ray, case finding (intensified, active and enhanced) and contact investigation; • Test/Diagnose at least 14 million presumptive TB with WHO recommended rapid diagnostic tool and push mandatory notification • Initiate treatment for 2 million people with active TB, including 50,000 DRTB cases; (establishment of Health Care Provider Network (HCPN); adoption of patient-centered care; strengthen active Drug Safety Monitoring and Management (aDSM); TB-HIV collaboration) • Successfully treat 90% of DSTB patients and 85% of DRTB patients; and, • Provide TB preventive therapy to 752,000 eligible patients.
