The PADIS research project was funded by Elrha under Elrha’s Humanitarian Innovation Fund call for Inclusive Preparedness for Humanitarian Response. The PADIS research falls under Elrha’s (problem) recognition stage of innovation, which ‘broadly consists of identifying a problem or opportunity to respond to, collecting and assessing readily available knowledge on the issue and context, diagnosing root causes, and properly framing the challenge’ (Elrha Humanitarian Innovation Guide). The PADIS research project focused on disability data needs in the humanitarian shelter sector and how disability data may be made available to humanitarian actors during disaster response
