Implementer
Brief Description
Operational since Oct. 2022. This is the first direct potable reuse initiative in Asia. The facility converts treated effluent into potable water. It can produce around 10 million liters of New Water per day. DOH-accredited laboratories collected samples from the facility to test whether the water was safe to drink. After these tests, the Parañaque City Health Office issued the facility a Certificate of Potability. This certificate ensures that the facility’s New Water meets the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water.
