Brief Description
The Increase Access of Marginalized Children to Kto3 Education through Community Support (I-ACCESS to Kindergarten Education) Project aims an improved education as an overarching outcome. There is also an improved participation of BLGUs and parents supporting children’s education in the target communities at large. To be specific, the project will focus on the following: a) Improve participation of BLGUs and parents supporting children’s education in their communities; b) Increased access of disadvantaged children to kindergarten to Grade 3 (K-3) classes that adapted the ADM system of MBHTE and is linked to the nearest formal primary school in the nearby locality; c) Mobilized and capacitated teachers and parents especially on ALS system; and d) Increased support to education of the community by barangay officials; two (2) barangays were able to craft resolutions creating the Community-based Child Protection Taskforce (CCPT) and adapted the advocacy that ‘Children must be in school’.
