Brief Description
The Green Energy Program (GEP) of ASKI started in the third quarter of 2013 to help in addressing environmental concerns by promoting solar powered lamps, and solar water pump for farmers. The campaign is in support to the country’s rising issues on energy concerns. The program promotes the use of solar operated products for the businesses or farming activities of the clients. The Green Energy Program (GEP) is aimed at improving the socio-economic status of marginalized sectors and individuals through the responsible, efficient and effective use of energy; increasing productive use of renewable energy in domestic and livelihood like MSMEs and farmers and fisherfolk; increasing awareness and knowledge of technology and their corresponding cost and benefits for domestic and livelihood.
