Brief Description
FH capacitates parents and caregivers on proper Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAPs) through Cascade Groups. More specifically, FH trains Cascade Group Volunteers (CGVs) or representatives from supported households on health and education messaging. Topics include: health: disease prevention, exclusive breastfeeding, and sanitation and hygiene; education: early grade success, school readiness, and child stimulation; and WASH: clean water and basic sanitation. CGVs are then assigned a set of households, the collection of which are known as Neighborhood Circles (NCs), and share the lessons to the latter so they can adopt healthy habits and behaviors at home. The CGs also serve as a monitoring mechanism for FH to track the health and education situation of the families it serves.
